How is information disseminated in the media in times of crisis, Cayman’s media consumption trends and the challenges of increasing misinformation across media channels were all hot topics for discussion during LCs Media In the Community seminar.
There was a tour of the Government Administration Building in Elgin Avenue – and the department of Government Information Services. In the evening the dinner, seminars and breakout sessions took place at Signal House in Fairbanks Road, with a debrief at the Roost at the Pickleball Court.
Mentors included Tanya Wigmore and Kaitlyn Elphinstone, while James Robinson was the moderator for the evening.
Speakers and panellists included: Sandra Hill, Founder, Cayman Marl Road (social media) Wendy Ledger, Journalist, Cayman News Service, Raymond Donalee, a representative of Dart Media, and sports journalist Dion Anglin.
