Leadership Cayman Class of 2021 Graduates

10 Jul 2021

The 2021 Leadership Cayman class officially graduated from the programme on Saturday, July 10 at a dinner held at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.

Class members, James Robinson Jr., Jody Ebanks, and Nelson Dilbert planned the graduation and served as MCs for the night. Chamber President, Mr. Mike Gibbs gave congratulatory remarks to the class. “Whatever you choose to do after tonight, it is our hope that the leaders who graduate from this year’s class will continue to contribute to the programme and the wider Caymanian community… I challenge you to become agents of change and progress,” he expressed.

Nicholas McLean, 2021 Chair, also addressed the group. “With the information we have acquired we are now armed, as critical thinkers, to make better informed decisions in our professional and personal lives. Irrespective of our job roles, we all have some level of influence to ensure that the information gained from our panellists, that they most generously gave up their free time to spend in our seminars, is not wasted,” he stated.

“My sincere congratulations to each of you, your partners, and extended families. Leadership Cayman Class of 2021. BEST. CLASS. EVER.,” McLean concluded.

The participants also attended a series of bi-weekly seminars on a range of different topics (e.g., Immigration, Financial Services, Culture & Heritage) and had discussions with expert guest speakers, including industry professionals, community leaders and Government officials.

This year’s community class project was a partnership with Acts of Kindness (ARK) to paint the interior and exterior of an older gentleman’s home in West Bay. The project was split into two (2) days to complete the work.

The Chamber would like to congratulate all class members for completing and graduating from the programme.
